Great fried chickenTateishi style! !

鳥房 (Torifusa) is a chicken restaurant in the rear of a chicken butcher in the forgotten-by-time Tokyo neighborhood of Tateishi (立石). Arriving at dusk, we ran into the same group of friendly locals we had shared a communal table with at our lunchtime destination, the motsu skewer spot, 宇ち多 (Uchida). The service was brusque and not in a friendly way, but the nicest old battle axe took pity on us and dismantled our fried chicken for us. The otoshi (free drinking food) of chicken skin was scrumptious, and we enjoyed everything else we ordered including a raw chicken dish. It was amazing to see the chef wielding his xxl cooking chopsticks in the open air kitchen at the shop’s front.

Delicious fries chicken! A must try to all travellers. Might requires to speak a little japanese since it is very local and no english speaker or menu. Not so far from the station. Depending on the days and time there is usually a queue. If you are interest there is also raw chicken that you can try there and they can serve it in different ways for you. A must try!
